Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention

MSR train surgical teams from various places in Africa to circumcise adult men in order to reduce the spread of HIV/Aids on the continent. Medical male circumcision reduces female to male HIV transmission by approximately 60%.

The training is part of a project initiated by Operation Abraham Collaborative (OAC) - an association of nine Israeli hospitals and health institutions including MSR,

dedicated to helping prevent HIV/AIDS through their expert knowledge in male circumcision.

The hands-on simulation training at MSR is done on mannequins and includes various technique used for male circumcision in very high volume.
