Ailing and Healing Program

Target Population: Senior professionals from the caring professions
Objectives: To empower senior professionals from the caring professions as they treat their most severely ill patients, particularly in cases where their error has caused serious harm or even death, by introducing them to classic sources of Jewish spirituality.

a program developed in equal partnership by two organizations Kolot and MSR, the Israel Center for Medical Simulation. In this program participants explore Jewish texts, as well as train at MSR in simulation-based training program.
The goals of this annual program are to train caregivers in different fields to create an identity, consciousness, and language that integrate the world of professional caregiving with the world of Jewish-spiritual discourse; vehicles include learning, personal transformation, and practical experience.
To examine the concept of “error” in depth: learning from mistakes, minimizing and fixing mistakes as part of the educational/professional process of caregiving; vehicles include learning and hands-on practice.
To strengthen the interdisciplinary interface between the professional caregivers in various fields; vehicles include joint learning.
