Endo Urological Skills
Target Population:
First / second year trainees in urology.
Objectives:
To improve communication and endoscopic technical skills.
Course Description:
This course combines endoscopic urological skills training with communication skills training. Trainees receive hands-on practice on a variety of simulators such as synthetic bladder for cystoscopy and TURP, endoscopy on video and VR simulators (UroMentor, PERC-nephrostomy). Furthermore, participants encounter simulated patients (actors) in scenarios focusing on specific clinical and ethical issues representing the urological repertoire (obtaining informed consent, delivering bad news etc). |
