Objectives: The course is held in collaboration with Israel's Ministry of Health and the Jewish Federation of New-York. The objectives of this course is to improve the communication and clinical skills of primary health care professionals, to better identify and manage domestic abused patients of different age groups and gender, and to teach professionals how to deal with common reporting obstacles.
Course Description: The encounters are documented on a sophisticated audiovisual system and the tapes are used for debriefing purposes immediately following the scenarios. The debriefing is a key element of the training in which trained experts conduct a group discussion, give important feedback and discuss the protocols for reporting suspected abuse.
