|
MSR is a world leader in Simulation-Based Medical Education (SBME) and patient safety training. As a national multi-modality, interdisciplinary simulation center, MSR conducts national mandatory courses and regulatory licensing exams in various clinical fields.
Since its establishment in 2001 by Dr. Amitai Ziv, at the Sheba Medical Center, MSR has trained over 80,000 healthcare professionals in over sixty vital training programs.
The training emphasizes essential patient safety aspects such as teamwork and communication skills, through extreme and challenging medical conditions with fidelity sufficient to achieve suspension of disbelief on the part of the trainee.

Communications Skills
MSR offers a number of medical simulation programs dedicated to enhancing the communication skills of healthcare professionals. MSR uses simulated patients (role playing actors) to teach the challenging tasks of delivering bad news, obtaining informed consent and the detection of domestic abuse. MSR employs more than 100 simulated patients ranging in age from adolescents to ages 80 and above. All of MSR's simulated patients receive specific training allowing them to accurately replicate a wide range of medical conditions and behaviors. The use of simulated patients allows for a more intimate and interpersonal training environment. |

Faculty Development
MSR offers an array of faculty development workshops for healthcare teams and individuals who are interested and involved in simulation-based. These workshops are tailored for professionals with limited time and resources. By the end of the workshops participants will be able to use and implement the methodologies and techniques in their own training programs. |
